Frequently Asked Questions

+ What happens during the 15-minute complementary call?

The initial call will be to establish brief details of your health concern or the aims of the workshop you would like to run. Just to see if we can work together. In the case of 1-to-1 clients, a full initial consultation will be booked in if we’re both happy to go ahead. For workshops, a detailed, costed proposal will be sent for agreement as a follow up.

+ What does a corporate workshop entail, and do you have any examples?

Corporate workshops are aimed at any company keen to improve the health and wellbeing of their employees providing an opportunity to learn about natural health. Most workshops include a practical or team building element e.g. making herbal teas, herb tasting, foraging, making skin care products etc. We often focus on a particular area of health e.g. mental health and wellbeing. Each session is tailored to the brief that you provide, this will be discussed on our initial call. For recent client testimonials, please see here.

+ How do I work with you 1-to-1 and how much will it cost?

I only work with a select number of clients on a 1-to-1 basis which allows me to go deeper into your case and offer you the support you need in order to reach your health goals. Client programmes run for a minimum of 3 months; this is due to the fact that the majority of cases involve chronic diseases that have developed over time. There is no quick fix and it takes time to rebalance the body and get you back to optimal health. It also takes commitment from you. Packages start at £1,200 for a 3-month period. On occasion, I may work with other health professionals e.g. health coaches, reiki, reflexologists, yoga instructors in which case the costs may be higher. Programmes are tailored to each person and vary as a result.

+ What does a typical 3-month package include?

  • Initial 2-hour appointment and clinical diagnostics, physical and iridology exam
  • Fully integrated approach – all modalities where appropriate
  • Personalised Health Plan updated regularly plus a healthy living guide
  • 3 x 15m monthly support calls or 15m email time
  • 1 x 60m appointment to discuss results
  • 1 x 45m appointment
  • Does not include herbs, functional testing or supplements
  • Does not include additional services such as coaching, reflexology etc.
  • Saving based on hourly rate: over £1,500

+ What can I expect from the initial consultation?

During the initial consultation, we will build up a picture of your overall health to establish any underlying causes of your illness and formulate a prescription and plan tailored to your needs. This will include:

  • Discussing your medical history
  • Asking about your immediate family’s medical history
  • Your diet and lifestyle
  • Any medication and supplements you are taking
  • Diagnostics e.g. iridology, pulse analysis, tongue analysis, blood pressure etc.

+ Do I have to have a consultation in order for you to prescribe medication and a plan?

Yes. All programs are tailored to the individual taking into account your medical history and current state of health (amongst many other factors). We cannot prescribe medication without prior evaluation of your health.

+ Is it possible to have a one-off consultation rather than sign up for a package?

No. Resolving health issues often takes time and commitment from you, particularly when it comes to chronic disease. We ask that you dedicate at least 3 months to a tailored health program in order to really achieve the results and support that you need.

+What qualification do Herbalists have?

There are different routes to qualification. I am a Dip. Herbal Medicine & Dip. Naturopath from The College of Naturopathic Medicine, Post Graduate Diploma in Iridology from The College of Naturopathic Medicine, Member of the Association of Naturopathic Practitioners; the largest Naturopathic Association in the UK and Ireland. I am also a member of the General Naturopathic Council (GNC); a regulator of Naturopathy in the UK.

+ Do you do home visits?

No, consultations are in my London clinic or available online.

+ Do you work with GPs?

Yes, where possible we work with GPs.

+ I am currently taking prescribed pharmaceutical medication, is it possible for you to treat me?

Yes, during your initial consultation we will go through all of the medication and supplements that you are currently taking to ensure that there are no interactions with the herbal medicine / health plan recommended.

+ Can children benefit from herbal medicine?

Absolutely. Dosage is taken into consideration with children and as with the usual tailored approach, specific herbs may be recommended due to their effectiveness with children in particular.

+ What is expected of the client?

All that we ask is that you are committed to making real changes to your state of health and are willing to take an active part and responsibility for doing so. Naturopaths work by empowering clients to take control of their own health, with their support. We’re in this together!

+ Do I have to prepare for my first consultation?

It is helpful to have a list of any medication or supplements that you are currently taking. In addition, if you have had any medical tests (recently or in the past) it is useful to have copies of these.
